Percipio Business Advisors has an open full-time position for a Consulting Associate.
As a Consulting Associate, you will be a valuable member on several engagement teams in all three of our practice areas: Comprehensive Accounting Solutions (CAS), Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory (M&A), and Tax Planning & Preparation. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain knowledge and experience in multiple practice areas and a variety of industries, as your time will be split among the three practices depending on client needs and your own career goals and interests.
You will continue to grow your accounting knowledge with on-the-job technical training, using leading technology, as you collaborate daily in a dynamic team environment. This person must have solid communication, technology, analytical, and time management skills, along with great customer service, a positive attitude, and a team mentality.
How You Will Contribute
Comprehensive Accounting Solutions (CAS)
- Baseline knowledge in financial statement preparation, review, and analysis
- Baseline knowledge of accrual basis and cash basis methods of accounting
- Reconcile bank and credit card activity
- Process client bill pay as needed
- Post financial transactions using accounting software(s) and 3rd party platforms
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and record journal entries as needed
- Prepare supporting documents that reconcile to the financial statements
- Comfortable with bookkeeping spreadsheets and accounting platforms
- Preparation of sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, payroll tax returns, and Form 1096s/1099s
- Responsible for multiple clients simultaneously
- Maintain workload and deliverables in a timely manner
- Track time spent on client work
- Other duties as assigned
Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory (M&A)
- Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers
- Evaluating financial information, identifying diligence issues/opportunities, and recommending post-acquisition actions
- Researching and analyzing industry standards, trends, and target companies
- Perform quality of earnings and working capital analyses; assist with negotiation of target working capital
- Participate in and learn to lead due diligence meetings with client and target company management teams
- Coordinate with team and management regarding client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines
- Effectively write and communicate engagement reports and deliverables to client management
- Knowledge of accrual basis and cash basis methods of accounting
- Responsible for multiple clients simultaneously
- Maintain workload and deliverables in a timely manner
- Track time spent on client work
- Other duties as assigned
Tax Planning & Preparation
- Preparation and/or review of business, individual, trust, and/or non-profit tax returns
- Research of tax regulations and tax planning projects
- Knowledge of accrual basis and cash basis methods of accounting
- Responsible for multiple clients simultaneously
- Maintain workload and deliverables in a timely manner
- Track time spent on client work
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has no immediate supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Business
- Strong analytical, technical, and research skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
- Knowledge of PC based Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint
- Willing to work in the office and at various local client offices as needed
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing client and business dynamics
Business Operations Analyst
